Sugarcreek Home

If you’ve never been to Sugarcreek – you are missing out!

Sugarcreek is in the heart of Amish country with rolling hills, small town charm and alot of quaint shops to spend the afternoon browsing and finding homemade crafted treasures.

Sugarcreek Real Estate

I currently have a beautiful home listed in Sugarcreek.

It’s a 3 bedroom raised ranch with a large livingroom that opens into the diningroom/kitchen.  There is a sliding glass door that leads out to a two tier deck overlooking a large, level lot of grass lined with trees in the back.

Walk down the hall to a full bath and 3 bedrooms. There is a familyroom in the lower level, laundry room with a shower and a two car garage off the familyroom.

All of this for only $128,000!  Move right in – it’s immaculate!

This is a great Sugarcreek Home for a great value.

Sugarcreek is located on SR 39 west of Dover approximately 10 miles.

Historic times in the United States!

History in the United States!

Whether you voted for Barack Obama or John McCain, we have just witnessed an amazing event that will be read about in our grandchildren’s history books forever!

The speeches were outstanding last night and they really inspired me that we are ONE nation under GOD no matter if you are Democrat or Republican and we need to demonstrate that to the world!
I’m proud that Tuscarawas County was important enough to the candidates to be on their agenda’s to stop and talk with our wonderful community.

God Bless America!

Election Day!

November 4, 2008 · Leave a Comment

United State Election

For those of you who don’t know – New Philadelphia is the county seat for Tuscarawas County. As you have probably heard from the media – Ohio is a crucial state for the candidates to win.

First we had Obama here speaking at Kent State Tusc. campus in August or September. I saw his bus and all of his escorts on I-77 heading to the event.

Next we had McCain here at the Tuscora Park last week at a rally. Last night I was driving home and saw two large buses being escorted from New Phila again with Biden inside.

Sarah Palin was the only candidate who didn’t make it to our little community. It is an honor to have the representatives of our government making a point to come and talk with the people in MY hometown!

I think I’m going to have a tee shirt made that says “Holly the realtor” – instead of “Joe the plumber”.

Home Tips: Conserving Water!

November 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Home Tips: Water Ideas

Water is one of our most precious natural resources our planet has.

We tend to take it for granted because all we have to do is turn on the faucet or flush the toliet and it’s right there at our disposal.  We need to be smart, wake up, start saving money and most importantly our resources and use them wisely.

1.  We can buy water-efficient toliets and faucets that use less water and work just as efficiently.

2.  Turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth along with shorter showers will save alot of water.

3.  Fix leaks when they happen instead of allowing water to drip constantly, including outside too.

4.  Conserve water usage outdoors.  Landscaping accounts for 20 – 50% of residential use.

5.  Check out www.wateruseitwisely.com for more info to help you make wise choices for you and the environment!

Dover – Phila football rivalry!

October 27, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Tuscarawas County HS Football

High School football in Tuscarawas County doesn’t get any bigger than the Dover-Phila football game.

In fact, it is the second oldest rivalry in Ohio.

The two towns are twin cities in Tuscarawas County and their residents are diehard Dover Tornado’s or New Phila Quaker football fans.

Every year at this time of year the traditions play out all over again with pep rallies, bonfires, decorating the schools with Dover’s red and gray and Phila’s red and black colors everywhere you look.

The predictions are made and finally the big night arrives and the two teams meet at either Dover’s Crater Stadium or New Phila’s Woody Hayes Stadium

This past Friday night both teams were 8 – 1 in the season but Dover prevailed with a commanding score of 30 – 7.  To really intensify the rivalry – the teams will meet again this weekend in the playoff’s at Dover’s Crater Stadium.

P.S.

Dover’s band is outstanding!  It reminds you of The Ohio State marching band!
